My first ever Con was awesome. (I went to Cincy Comic-Con on Saturday) Not only did I get comics signed by Gerry Duggan, Mark Brooks, Jenny Frison, Phil Noto, and Matt Fraction, but there was a whelming reaction to my Raven (from the original Teen Titans cartoon on Cartoon Network) costume: people loved it. I lost track of all the people who took pictures of or with me in costume and who complimented me on it. (including Matt Fraction! He even told me this cute little anecdote about his daughter saying the whole "Azerath Mettrion Zinthos" thing when she'd get mad at her brother.)  It was like Halloween, only better, because people knew right off who I was supposed to be. I wouldn't be surprised if some of those pics showed up online. I guess it does pay to show up at your first Con pantsless.(And,you know, it couldn't hurt that I was the only Raven there.)
I attended two panels... and let's just say the one was a bit awkward to attend with your mother and I'm glad my little brother was downstairs at the time, getting second place in a Magic the Gathering draft tournament, otherwise he'd have been laughing his ass off the entire time, won Terror Titans #1 in a spin-the-wheel-trivia-challenge thing, got a three-part Doctor Who print (I say three part because the print was in three parts and they were interlocking),  did a ridiculous amount of walking, and had a lot of fun. Definitely a great experience for my first Comic-Con and I would totally attend another one. And I apologize for all the parentheses. I'll post some of my pics from the Con a little later today, or later this week depending.
